Welcome to kafenio “To Potiraki”, a space created with passion, love, and respect for the Greek coffeehouse tradition.
The idea behind “To Potiraki” was born from our desire to create a welcoming place where everyday life becomes more flavorful, colorful, and warm. Here, we combine authentic Cretan flavors, high-quality coffee, and premium beverages, offering our guests the chance to relax, savor the moment, and create lasting memories.
Located in the heart of Agios Nikolaos, on the central square, our café is surrounded by the vibrancy and charm of the town. Greek salad and squids was good, pasta is not italian style, more on greek taste I guess. A lot of dry oregano or whatever it was. We also had Mussels, for me was 1/10, haven’t ate them
Grilled fish was good, BUT in my case fish was not cleaned well inside, I tried clean with fork inside as much as I could, my first bite from ribs area was disgusting and bitter. But I knew that I need to leave all that area. Rest of the fish was ok.
Prices reasonable for that, but for mussels I wouldn’t pay any cent.
Boys who served us was very friendly and polite!
The view is non-existant since this place sits opposite a pharmacy rather than overlooking the lake or port, but if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and delicious I would highly recommend stopping off here

Ps: If we can have one wish for a better 2025th – please bring back those amazing vinegar sausages. 😁
